- dome loaded
- electronically controlled.
RHPS regulators are suitable for most gases and liquids, including aggressive fluids.
Regulators from 1/4" to 3", with threaded or flanged connections are available.
All soft seated regulators have been designed with the following design criteria in mind:
- bubble tight sealing of the seat
- no external leakage
However, a regulator is not a shut-off valve and should not be left pressurized for
extended periods.
Ideally there should be valves upstream and downstream of the regulator.
STANDARD PRODUCTS
The following materials are used in standard RHPS regulators:
- seals :nitrile, viton, epdm, ptfe
- seats :peek, vespel, kel-f
- bodies :ss 316L, brass, aluminium
- valve trims :stainless steels 316,431, 17-4PH,bronze
Note
Minor variations are available , such as:
- metal diaphragms
- metallic o-rings
- spring energized ptfe seals
- body materials such as monel, alubronze, inconel etc.
DELIVERY TIMES
It is a RHPS policy to maintain ample stocks of the standard products.
This means that regulators with threaded connections can be supplied within a few days.
Regulators with flanged connections can usually be supplied in 2-3 weeks.
With standard products we mean the regulators op to 2".
SPECIAL APPLICATION
RHPS supplies regulators for many different special applications, e.g.:
- sour gas (H2S) to NACE
- oxygen regulators
- semiconductor high purity regulators
MANUFACTURING AND Q.A
RHPS regulators are manufactured in ISO 2000 approved facilities.
MATERIAL TRACE ABILITY
All bar stock regulators will be supplied with material certificates to EN10204/3.1B, all
parts will be batch numbered, which provides full trace ability.
SURFACE FINISH AND CLEANING
Industrial grade bar stock regulators will have surface finishes to 0,8-1,6 um and be
ultrasonically cleaned (oxygen clean).
Regulators for semiconductor high purity systems will have surface finishes to 0,25 um and
be electro polished to semiconductor industry standards.
TESTING
All industrial grade regulators will be pressure tested with nitrogen or optionally with
helium to the maximum inlet pressure and next performance tested.
Regulators for high purity systems will be leak tested with helium mss spectrometers.
RHPS manufactures a small range of in-line filters, suitable for pressures up to 400 bar
and with 25 µm sintered elements.
Connections To connect our filters we use our so-called O-Seal fittings. These are
suitable for welding or they have bsp threads.
Advantages The advantage of the O-Seal couplings are obvious. Leakproof connections are
made with only light wrenching of the union nut, without deforming the piping.
Sealing is accomplished by internal system pressure, not by brute, external force.
The connection can be made or broken at will without springing or cutting the piping.

RHPS bv, founded in 1987 in the Netherlands, began as a trading company specialised in
high pressure valves and regulators. While we began as a typical niche market company we
soon became the manufacturer of a wide range of pressure regulators.
From day one RHPS has emphasized the production and delivery of high quality regulators to
industry through high-quality production units, a properly educated staff, and a growing
network of exclusive representatives.
Recently our flowtestbench was delivered. It is not quite finished yet, but we are nearly
there.
Later this month the unit will be calibrated by the NMI (Netherlands Measuring Institute).
The next step is that we will have to learn how to operate it properly and work out a test
program.
So by the end of this year RHPS will be able to produce flowcurves.
RHPS and PED
The bulk of our products complies with PED.
For certain sizes and applications it could happen that we have to involve a so-called
“notified body or nobo”. This is a time consuming business and it jeopardizes
our flexibility and short deliveries.
To prevent this we want to apply for module H the highest PED qualification.
To make it easier on ourselves we have to remodel our Q.A. system to ISO 2000.
To help us to do this quickly we have hired a specialist company.
Nevertheless it will still take a certain amount of time.
